Sixth-generation mobile technology (6G, IMT-2030) is expected to integrate communication, sensing, artificial intelligence, edge computing, non-terrestrial networks and advanced security into a unified network environment. The paper presents the six official IMT-2030 usage scenarios and their enabling technologies, and analyses where 6G can enter military use — from as-is employment in bases and deployed camps to component-wise integration of its technologies at the tactical edge.
